Based upon the need to support a variety of technology systems, the duties will often be changed or modified to match the technology and current project workloads. The LMS Administrator must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent judgment on issues which must be brought to the attention of the team. The LMS Administrator, in partnership with the Center Online Learning, will assist the university with setting and complying with State and Federal policies and recommendations related to online learning. The LMS Administrator will oversee relationships with related vendors and host providers, enforcing SLA and support expectations. The LMS Administrator will be expected to work with other IT areas and/or third-party services to maintain a secure, highly-available and fault-tolerant LMS environment. The LMS Administrator will be expected to collaborate with IT, faculty, and Center for Online Learning to establish policies, processes and procedures related to maintenance, update, upgrade, integration and development of the LMS application and environment. The LMS Administrator has primary responsibility for optimizing LMS application performance, documenting the operation and support processes and procedures related to the LMS application and environment, investigating and resolving LMS application and server environment errors, and communicating with the campus community as appropriate. Scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Education. student, first in a national research project and later under the sponsorship of FPU Ph.D. Up to September 2017 I was contracted as a Ph.D. Since September 2013 I work at the Computer Architecture and Technology (ATC) group at the University of Cantabria. Starting in September 2012, I worked for a year in the Systems Department at the IBM Zurich Research Lab in Rüschlikon, Switzerland. Alongside the MS I developed TutorSPIM, a Moodle-based tool to automatically correct assembler-coding exercises for the course "Introducción a los Computadores" of the degree for Computer Science. I got my BS/MS in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Cantabria in 2011, and my MS in Computer Science in 2012. Since 2017, I participate on the courses "Introducción a los Computadores" and "Introducción a las Redes de Computadores" (from the degreed for Computer Science), and "Microprocesadores" (part of the degree for Telecommunication Engineering). You can find a tutorial in Spanish in my YouTube channel, and an English user guide will soon be available. I'm also the maintainer of an ARM assembly code debugging tool for RISC OS named !UCDebug ( also available at GitHub), developed jointly with Cristóbal Camarero and Fernando Vallejo, as part of a project led by Carmen Martínez. As part of the work started during my thesis, I'm the main developer of the FOGSim network simulator ( available at GitHub). My research interests focus on the characterization and performance interconnection technologies for large system networks, specially the routing and deadlock avoidance mechanisms. I'm an assistant lecturer in computer science at the Computer Architecture and Technology (ATC) group at the University of Cantabria.
